HDify · Version 2026-08-02

Effective August 2, 2026

Your photos stay on your device. HDify processes selected photos locally on your iPhone. Photo content, masks, filenames, local paths, and editing results are not uploaded to our servers.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how HDify handles information when you use the HDify iOS application and its related support services. “HDify,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the provider of the HDify application.

2. On-device photo processing

HDify uses on-device models to enhance photos, remove objects, and remove backgrounds. Photos you select, generated masks, filenames, local file paths, and editing results remain on your device unless you independently choose to save or share a result using Apple system features.

HDify may request access to Photos so you can select an image or save a result. Apple controls that permission, and you can change it in iOS Settings.

3. Limited app usage and performance data

HDify asks for your permission before enabling limited first-party app usage and performance measurement. If you allow it, we may collect:

We do not include photo content, image hashes, masks, filenames, file paths, Photos asset identifiers, faces, advertising identifiers, IDFV, hardware serial numbers, precise device models, or free-form error text in analytics events.

4. Installation identifier

The installation identifier is randomly issued by our server and represents an installation of HDify, not a verified person or permanent physical device. It is stored in the app’s ordinary local container rather than the Keychain or iCloud. A normal uninstall and reinstall creates a new identifier, although iOS offloading or backup restoration may preserve app data.

5. Version compatibility checks

HDify contacts our first-party service to check whether the installed app version remains compatible and whether an update is available. This request may include the app identifier, app version and build, selected language, platform, and iOS version. It does not include photos, editing content, the analytics installation identifier, MCC or MNC, or a precise device model. Version checks operate even when you do not allow optional usage analytics, and a failed check does not prevent on-device photo processing.

6. How we use information

We use this pseudonymous activity only to understand feature use, measure successful processing and saving, diagnose broad reliability problems, and improve HDify. We do not use it for advertising, cross-app tracking, automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, or sale to data brokers.

7. Your choice

You can turn off app usage and performance measurement at any time in HDify Settings without limiting photo-processing features. Turning it off removes the local analytics installation identifiers and queued events and stops future collection from that installation. HDify remembers your choice and does not turn measurement back on automatically.

8. Processing and disclosure

Usage and performance data is sent to our first-party demi-api service over HTTPS. We do not include a third-party analytics SDK. Network infrastructure necessarily processes an IP address to deliver the request; for analytics requests, we use it transiently to derive a country code and configure our application and proxy access logs not to retain the full IP address.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the security and rights of users or our services, or complete a business transfer subject to protections consistent with this Policy.

9. Retention and security

Raw pseudonymous analytics events are retained for up to 30 days. De-identified aggregate statistics may be retained for up to 13 months. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including HTTPS, restricted event fields, request-size limits, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain information we process about you, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. Because HDify does not require an account and the installation identifier is not linked to your name or email address, we may be unable to identify a particular pseudonymous record after the local identifier has been removed. Contact us to make a request, and we will respond as required by applicable law.

11. Children

HDify is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.

12. International processing

Information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards and respect mandatory privacy rights under applicable law.

13. Changes

We may update this Policy as HDify changes. We will publish a new dated version and, when required, provide notice or request consent before materially different processing begins. Previous dated versions remain available at their original URLs.

14. Contact
